When Sevenoaks District Council took over the management of Edenbridge Leisure Centre in January 2001, after it had been under private management for 5 years, they were shocked to find that the air handling plant had fallen into disrepair due to a lack of maintenance. The problem was so acute that a decision was taken to replace the unit.
The main problem facing the council was that access to the plant room was limited. So when Recotherm advised that their state of the art fresh air ventilation unit could be constructed on-site they were delighted. The whole project took 9 days to complete including removing the existing heat pump unit and modifying the ductwork to suit the new unit. Peter Kemp of Sevenoaks District Council commented that the unit had dramatically improved the internal conditions in the pool hall.
