The aim of any swimming pool environmental system is to maintain air conditions in the pool hall to prevent condensation and to ensure the comfort of the bathers. The system also incorporates a pool cover setback facility fitted as standard, so that when the pool cover is on, the unit allows the temperature to drop to a predetermined level, whilst continuing to monitor the internal conditions. During this period, the power consumption is reduced to an absolute minimum, thereby cutting running costs to virtually nil; a useful facility for domestic swimming pool owners, where the pool is probably only uncovered for a few hours a week.
