Enjoying a healthier environment in your indoor swimming pool has got to be good news;

The aim of any swimming pool environmental system is to maintain air conditions in the pool hall to prevent condensation and to ensure the comfort of the bathers. The RECOTHERM system does this using fresh air in a totally new and unique way, providing a true environmental alternative to conventional swimming pool ventilation. Fresh air is always drier than the air inside the swimming pool, so the introduction of sufficient fresh air will control the internal humidity.

The downside is that fresh air is also colder than the pool hall air and requires heating before being circulated – this requires energy and that costs money. Introducing the fresh air can be done simply by means of electric fans, but this would prove totally cost prohibitive. It is here that the RECOTHERM unit reveals its benefits.

  • By using direct driven, high efficiency, backward curved fans there is a 20% energy saving over conventional systems.
  • The unit’s high efficiency plate heat exchanger recovers the heat in the exhaust air and transfers it to the supply air.

Recotherm’s computerised controls ensure that the correct temperature and humidity within the pool hall is always maintained and the unit operates at optimal efficiency. A touch screen display panel provides a full range of control operation to give you total control over the internal environment. The system also incorporates a pool cover setback facility fitted as standard, so that when the pool cover is on, the unit allows the temperature to drop to a predetermined level, whilst continuing to monitor the internal conditions. During this period, the power consumption is reduced to an absolute minimum, thereby cutting running costs to virtually nil; a useful facility for domestic swimming pool owners, where the pool is probably only uncovered for a few hours a week.

  • The heater battery in the unit has been selected to take low temperature hot water from either a condensing boiler or a geo-thermal heat pump.

  • All the units meet the 2010 part L recommendation for efficiency and performance.
