Applications Designer – HVAC
The Role:
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Applications Designer – HVAC to support the ongoing development of our industry-leading swimming pool air handling units. This role involves designing and specifying HVAC systems, carrying out product R&D, and staying informed about the latest industry trends and technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of HVAC principles and work closely with internal teams to deliver high-quality, project-specific solutions that meet client requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop HVAC systems for a variety of projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations
- Collaborate with colleagues to understand customer needs and contribute to the development of tailored HVAC solutions
- Conduct feasibility studies and apply technical knowledge to support system design and implementation
- Review project specifications, perform AHU sizing calculations, and assist with selecting appropriate components
- Prepare technical proposals, cost estimates, and assist in developing project timelines
- Work closely with the M&E Sales Design Manager and internal teams to support procurement and scheduling of HVAC equipment and long lead items
- Carry out site surveys to assess client requirements and provide technical input as needed
- Monitor project-related costs and help ensure efficient use of resources
- Provide technical support to internal departments and customers during the design and delivery process
- Produce detailed 2D models and drawings using CAD software in line with project requirements
- Stay informed about industry developments, new technologies, and changes in regulations relevant to HVAC systems
- Contribute to team objectives by supporting shared goals and ensuring effective communication across departments.
