How Hoar Cross Hall Upgraded Their AHU in Just 5 Weeks

Overview

In early June 2024 we were asked to quote on supplying an air handling unit (AHU) for a saltwater pool at Hoar Cross Hall, a prestigious, award-winning Spa Hotel in Staffordshire.
Following extensive liaison with our in-house experts, the order for an Aeris 200 was placed on 12 June 2024 with the request of a quick turnaround.

Requirement

Despite this being a bespoke horizontal unit, the Recotherm team ensured the unit was delivered, as requested, on 19 July 2024, only 5 weeks after placing the order.

This speedy response meant that the AHU was installed and up and running by the 29 August 2024, with an immediate improvement in the saltwater pool hall atmosphere, resulting in a more comfortable and relaxing environment for bathers.

Solution

Hoar Cross Hall were so impressed with the quick turnaround and quality of the results that they ordered a further two units; one for their Hydrotherapy pool and another for the Nordic Heat and Ice suite. Again, Recotherm worked to a very tight timescale with the order for two units (Aeris 100 and 200) received on 26 September 2024 being delivered on 11 November 2024.

Apart from the speed of fulfilling the orders in such short timescales, there were also some access challenges which meant the Aeris 200 was delivered flat-packed and built on-site by our specialist engineers.

Conclusion

As Hoar Cross Hall has now fully switched to Recotherm AHUs, we were delighted to give away a luxury weekend as part of our 40th Anniversary celebrations and are giving away a one-night Purity Spa Stay at SPATEX 2026!

Our clients and staff were surprised, and delighted, by the instantaneous improvement to our saltwater pool hall environment. Due to this we realised we needed to upgrade the experience in two further spa areas and were impressed with the turnaround times, professionalism and flexibility of being able to build on-site.
